“This is clearly a writer with significant chops”
–Chris Benjamin, Atlantic Books Today
David’s debut short fiction collection, Peninsula Sinking, will be published by Biblioasis in fall 2017. The book is a collection of 12 stories, including the 2016 CBC Short Story Prize winner “Enigma,” which the judges of that award called a “paean to intimacy and to things rarely seen.” David’s fiction has also appeared in journals such as Grain, Broken Pencil, The Puritan, The Impressment Gang, subTerrain, The Dalhousie Review, and The Antigonish Review. In 2015, his work claimed first prize in The Dalhousie Review‘s short story contest and The Antigonish Review‘s Sheldon Currie Fiction Prize and was shortlisted for The New Quarterly‘s Peter Hinchcliffe Fiction Award.
